Boss List

Every boss, sorted by type and location.

Main Boss

Thorne — first boss strategy.

Overview

Story boss fought in Ossex City. Recommended weapon: Nightstar for safe ranged pokes. Thorne retreats rather than dying, setting up the rest of the story.

Key Strategy

Attack in short bursts. Land a hit or two, then back off. Heal only after creating distance — his attacks cancel your heal.

Best Weapon

Nightstar — its long whip-mace reach lets you poke from a safe distance while learning his patterns.

Trident Strikes

A series of three strikes that follow you around the arena.

  • Keep moving sideways
  • Punish the recovery between combos

Bomb Trail

He dashes and lays a swift trail of bombs that detonate after a beat.

  • Stay near the arena edges
  • Keep clear of the trail

Tornado Burst

He spins up a ring of tornadoes that expand around the arena.

  • Hollow (burrow) underground
  • You are invincible while burrowed

Main Boss

Duchess of Queensbury — phase-by-phase.

Before the fight: grab the Proto Spark

Escort the Duke to his casket inside the Crypt to earn the Proto Spark trinket, which gives you a free save from death. It is one of the best trinkets in the game.

Recommended: Blaststrike Maul

Charged swings hit hard. Land them when she is locked into an attack, then back off. Demands patience over speed.

Phase 1 — The Statue

  • Be patient and read the tells
  • Strafe, do not trade
  • Punish with charged hits from the Maul

Phase 2 — Tentacles

  • Watch the floor for cracks
  • Burrow the instant the floor breaks
  • Reposition and keep chipping

Secret Bosses

All 9 secret bosses and how to find them.

Nether Kraken

Shipwreck (prologue) — hit grabbing tentacles during the cutscene to start at ~65% HP. Stick to the left, burrow to cross.
